Quarterly tax payments are no longer the nightmare they once were because Garrett taught me how to set aside money for them with each payment.
Every day I'm thankful for the error-proof banking and spending structures he helped us build, as well as the savings plan we now use for our long-term dream.
I had been looking for someone to help me with just the rudimentary basics of how money works: how to create a sensible budget; the best way to split up my accounts; and how to make my money work for me.
He helped us design a path for accomplishing our financial goals, like paying off credit card debt, managing student debt and building a nest egg, and subsequently coached us through actually reaching many of these goals.
Fast forward to the present day, and I've done a complete 180 financially, professionally, personally, and all of this has contributed to a happier life.
After working with him for over 6 months, I've gone from being nervous to even look at my bank account balance, to establishing the building blocks to create and manage my budget, setting goals and prioritizing debt repayment, savings, and retirement, all complemented by software tools, spreadsheets and financial calculators to make it all work.
I highly recommend Garrett, not only because he's patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor, he gives you credible tools to help create a budget and change your mindset which can lead you on the path to make great decisions!
But, weirdly (read: disappointingly) I eventually got to a point in my own life where I needed to do things like make a budget and pay boring bills and generally be more financially responsible than what I had previously been.
I am currently a student, and it was important to me to develop better financial literacy and come up with a budget that works for me now and long-term.
He has helped me develop a budget, set short and long term savings goals, and come up with a plan to pay off my debt, all while increasing my confidence and eliminating those pesky avoidance behaviors.
