In most cases, an individual's income may either increase or decrease over time, or an individual's household may increase because of the birth or adoption of a child, or a person's household size may decrease because a child may have reached the age of 18 and graduated from high-school. Based on these, and other possible changes, an individual's income, may be eligible for adjustment. No adjustment is allowed, however, unless the necessary paperwork is filed with the court requesting the modification of current child support.
