I think the biggest misconception about the wealth management industry is it is purely data driven and all about the numbers. You need to work with an experienced financial professional, however, so much of what we do is relationship based. It's so important for you to like your adviser, their philosophy, and enjoy working with them or you'll shut down at meetings when we have those often times, more difficult discussions about changing habits, defining your personal values, or how to protect your family in the event of your demise. You have to like your adviser to realize the most out of your professional engagement.
