We have an immediate opening for a Patent & Trademark Paralegal to work in the office with the firm’s Patent & Trademark attorneys. The ideal candidate is versatile, able to hit the ground running, and can manage the full spectrum of paralegal responsibilities. Responsibilities • Prepare patent, trademark, and copyright documents for filing with appropriate government agencies. • Communicate with attorneys, agents, clients, and foreign agents regarding the status of patent and trademark applications • Coordinate and maintain calendars. • Review and maintain docket, and communicate with firm’s attorneys regarding status and deadlines of patent and trademark matters. • Organize and maintain electronic client files. Additionally, they must have: ∎ 5+ years as Patent & Trademark Paralegal ∎ Knowledge of filing requirements and procedures for Paris Convention and PCT applications. ∎ Knowledge of USPTO patent and trademark rules and procedures as it applies to TEAS, EFS Web and other USPTO filing procedures. ∎ Be proficient in the creation, revision, and filing of patent documents; reviewing and maintaining a docket; and managing all forms of client communication. ∎ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point; knowledge of Salesforce would be nice but not required.
