Mediation During Covid 19 Epidemic - It is now over a month since we took to our homes and left our offices and places of work. We, Divorce Mediators, Fred Klarer, Esq. and myself, Dr. Diane Kramer, at the Long Island Center for Divorce Mediation closed our offices and wondered. What would happen to all those couples who were ready for divorce? What would happen to those who were locked down together when they were in high conflict? How would they deal with each other during this period of enforced togetherness. We waited to find out. The first two weeks held no business for us. No one called. Everyone was in too much shock. By week three, tensions were mounting in those locked down houses. Now our calls were flooded with need for information, advice and appointments. At the Long Island Center for Divorce Mediation, to conduct business, we have turned to the Zoom virtual platform. Turns out that Spouses like this Zoom method.
