We looked at a few agencies but ended up going with AA due to their Adoption Disruption Insurance and due to the fact that they worked with birth mothers in most states, not just our home state of Texas.
Does not help with my situation.
We have developed a loving relationship with the adoptive parents - this has been a blessing and without Shannon and her compassion, things may have been completely different.
Their nationwide reach and deep network of resources made the process as straightforward as possible, while their excellent staff provided fantastic support from the beginning.
We found the higher cost(at least in our situation, may not be true for all situations) to be worth the amazing assistance we were provided from start to finish.
We have adopted both of our sons through American Adoptions, and we have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about both individual experiences we had.
