In June of 2016 our friend had a stroke and was in the hospital for 5 ½ months because there was no one to make decisions for her. She has no family and had no power of attorney. Mr. Erhart and his associates walked us through the guardianship and Medicaid process. As a result our friend is comfortably settled in a nursing home. Attorney Bill Erhart and paralegal Elizabeth Vizcarrondo-Colon did an excellent job of guiding me through the complicated process of creating a Miller Trust for my mother and applying for Medicaid so that she can move into a skilled nursing facility.
I thought Bill might like to know that the state of Delaware is "forcing retirees" into a new Medicare Advantage plan as of January 1, 2023 if they want to keep their retirement health benefit!
