Prior to his legal career, Charlie served as an Officer in the United States Navy. He holds a Masters of Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, his law degree from the Charlotte School of Law, his MBA from the University of North Carolina (Charlotte), and his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina. Charlie played football for the Gamecocks from 2002-2006.
