I was born into a family of immigrants—people who overcame extreme hardship and showed me that, no matter the struggles you face, you must keep striving for a better future. I carried those values with me as I navigated life in the United States, and somewhere along the way, I discovered that the secret to living is, in fact, giving back. I found that the best way I could give back was to pursue a career in which I could help others facing life's most difficult moments.
