They have an obligation to notify you afterwards, but not before. Telling them not to talk to your kids or telling the school not to allow it will have no affect other than to make you look uncooperative (which, to CPS, is a cardinal sin.) There are some options, however, which can be helpful if you get an attorney involved early enough.
