Last week, Wendy Samuelson was a panelist at the Cornell Law School’s Mary Kennedy Brown Society Women’s Summit: Women in Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Her topic “In the Business of Being a Woman Lawyer” touched on issues in running a boutique matrimonial and family law practice. The honoree was Muriel Kessler, class of 1948, a 98 year old still practicing attorney, who gave a sensational speech on what it was like being one of three women in her law school class, and how she started her own law practice with her husband because of limited opportunities for women back then.
