A Message from Legal Directorate on COVID-19
At Legal Directorate, the health and safety of our clients, staff and business partners remains our highest priority.
We have been keeping up to date with the latest developments concerning the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the broader impact it has on the communities we serve. We understand that, in uncertain times, your legal and management needs have not been canceled.
Most of the firms at Legal Directorate remain fully committed to helping their clients obtain the results they deserve in the most professional and efficient way possible. To help minimize the effect of this pandemic majority of firms implemented a contingency plan to serve their clients regardless of location.
We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the necessary precautions to stay operational for our communities during these difficult times. For clients who seek timely and quality services during these challenging and uncertain times, we have compiled suggestions for safe work in a confined environment.
1. Check in advance whether the firm has implemented contingency plans to allow in-person visits at their office.
While most firms remain open for business, they might require all of their staff to work remotely from their homes.
2. Ask if they support virtual operations across their entire range of services.
Prefer no contact (online first) service, e.g., virtual meetings via video conference and share screens. Expand your use of phone and email correspondence as well as online technologies such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Skype, FaceTime, etc., in favor of face-to-face interactions.
3. Exchange documents via secure drives.
Always make sure any electronic communication to a firm goes through a secure portal. Shared or multiple user computers and employer-owned computers should not be used to send any confidential information.
4. Please call ahead for the most current information and updates on the firm's operations.
Take care of yourself and do not hesitate to be careful: remember that all the measures you take to fight the virus are not only a social responsibility but also your safety.
Let us remember to thank our doctors, nurses, and all healthcare workers who are risking their health to care for the most vulnerable among us. We truly owe them our gratitude and support.
