FAQs

How do I know if I need a lawyer?

Answer: If you have been injured and negligence may have caused the injury, you should talk to a Texas attorney that is an expert in personal injury and negligence cases immediately. Your lawyer will know what your rights are under the law. You may be entitled to compensation. Only an experienced Texas attorney can properly evaluate your case and protect your rights.

What should I tell the insurance company if they call me?

Answer: Do not speak with them. If you have counsel, they should never call you directly. If you do not have a lawyer, tell them that you are in the process of hiring an attorney and will have that lawyer call them. Do not under any circumstances discuss the accident. Do not allow them to pressure you to continue the conversation. If you have not done so, contact a Texas personal injury attorney. If their lawyer calls, what do I do?

Answer: It is important to gather the names of witnesses and their contact information, however, do not discuss the accident with them. It is imperative that you make no statements of fault. Should I talk to friends and family?

Answer: Do not make any statements of fault to anyone, including friends, family or the police. While it is important to access your support system for comfort and assistance, it is advisable that you refrain from discussing the accident with anyone, particularly if that person is a potential witness.
