Mr. Zapata helped a family member who was threatened of being deported and was going to immigration court. While in court, Mr. Zapata was able successfully file a U-Visa ap plication. Once the U-visa application was granted, Mr. Zapata got the court case closed and she is no longer under threat of deportation. She now has a work permit, and has been told by Mr. Zapata that she will be eligible to file for a green card in approximately 3 years.
