What do I do if the police get a search warrant?

Search warrants allow the police to search a specified area or location for particular items. With a search warrant in hand, the police will no longer need your consent to search. What do I do if I get a reckless driving charge?

Reckless driving is a Class 1 misdemeanor which can carry up to 12 months in jail, up to a $2,500 dollar fine, and loss of license for up to 6 months. It also carries 6 points on your DMV record. An experienced defense lawyer can tell you if you are facing one of the more serious penalties and if it is possible to have your charges reduced to something less serious or dismissed.

Do I have to show up for court in Virginia for a traffic ticket?
